Today I thought I would write about a young woman with an eye for art, If you don’t know about her already I would suggest checking her work after you read this. Her name is Lora Zombie, she is a young self-taught artist from Russia, with no formal education at all she has become a well known artist with massive following of fans online over the past few years. Now she is working her way into the gallery scene and travelling far outside of her homeland Russia.

As you take a look at her work you can see she has a style to the publicly loved Banksy but with more colour and less stencil work, more freehand work. Zombie has her opinion as do we all and her art work shows these opinions through strong messages to the world.

Lora creates her paintings using ink and watercolor and with a common theme of loneliness, touch naive, kind of peace vs harsh reality. All this is done by vibrant streaks of paint and ink and lack of coherent composition creating a unique genre of urban art mixed with Grunge. Take a look below to see some of her most famous art works

  1. Ahmad says:

I don’t understand the Mickey Mouse skulls one. Any Explanation ?

  2. If you look at the USA they have two side but only one is usually shown. One side is the glamour with movies, music and so called great food and how they help the world but what you dont see in advertisements is the dominance of the world and how they roll all over everyone they want in the world. So mickey is the great USA and the skulls are the unseen devastation left by the USA
